Three Girls
The BBC drama Five Daughters won praise for its sensitive look at the victims of the Ipswich serial murders. Now the producers and director are reuniting for this new three-part series, which is broadcast over consecutive nights and draws on the true stories of the victims of sexual abuse in Rochdale. It shows how the girls were groomed, and how they were ignored by the authorities. Holly (Molly Windsor), is new to Rochdale and keen to make friends, but finds herself drawn into a frightening world from which she is unable to escape. Maxine Peake and Lesley Sharp co-star as two of the women who helped to get the victims’ voices heard.
