Public sector staff work incredibly hard and make a vital contribution to the economy and services in general. However, There is a significant national deficit and it would be wrong to treat those in the public sector differently from those in the private sector, who are often not enjoying any pay rise at all. Thanks to UK Government measures, all workers are keeping more of their own money through lower taxation. We want to keep that approach and work towards a low tax, high wage economy.
