Perthshire tourist attractions team up for new visitor pass

-

Scone Palace and The Black Watch Castle and Museum have joined forces to create a new visitor pass.

Entitled the Perth History and Heritage Pass, it has been launched to mark the year of History, Heritage and Archaeology 2017, and will enable visitors to access both historic attractions with a 20% discount on standard admission.

Anne Kinnes, chief executive of The Black Watch Castle and Museum, said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Scone Palace to give people value for money whilst creating a special opportunity to access two five-star worldclass visitor attractions which are rich in Scottish history.”

Margo Baird, marketing manager at Scone Palace, added: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with The Black Watch Castle and Museum, and hope that our Perth History and Heritage Pass will encourage visitors to explore both of these wonderful and historic attractions when they are in the Perth area.”

Neil Christison, VisitScotland’s regional partnerships executive, said it was “fantastic” the two venues are “working together” to produce the pass.

“In a time when visitors are more conscious of their spending and are looking for value for money, this joint ticket is a great incentive and will hopefully encourage visitors to spend more time exploring the region,” he said.

The pass costs £19.50 for adults, £12.50 for children, £16.50 for a concession and £46.50 for a family ticket.

It’s valid at Scone Palace from March to October and at The Black Watch Castle and Museum all year round.

It can be bought at either venue.
