Dancer given Ascot chance
Connections of Hertford Dancer are looking forward to the filly taking her chance in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot on Thursday.
John Gosden’s three-year-old, bred at Highclere Stud and owned by the 5 Hertford Street Racing Club, was added to the field at a cost of £17,000.
She has been given the opportunity after winning the Lingfield Oaks Trial on her latest start.
“Hertford Dancer is going to have a crack at the Ribblesdale,” said syndicate spokesman Alex Smith.
“She won well at Lingfield so we thought why not? It’s nice to go to Ascot.”
