Castle gets itself ready to host Porsche parade once again

-

Highland Perthshire will once again host the annual Porsche Club gathering this year.

The club has been coming to Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, for several years now and uses the event to display around 50 of the classic vehicles and give out prizes to the best cars in their class.

Organiser Steve Rose said: “We absolutely love coming to Blair Castle. It’s a fantastic venue for us, with its extensive gardens, restaurant and shop.

“We want to ensure this event is a real family day out, as well as a chance for us all to gather and admire the vehicles and Blair Castle more than ensures this is the case. Everything is here for us.

“In the past few years, we have been blessed with very good weather so here’s hoping this is the case this year.

“We come from all over Scotland to attend this event.”

Julia Sim, sales and marketing manager for Blair Castle, added: “It’s a real pleasure to host this event once again and we very much look forward to the Porsche Club returning to the castle.

“We host many summer events of all types at this time of the year but there can be few as colourful and exciting as this, with these impressive and powerful sports cars brightening up our forecourt.”

The event will take place on July 16 from 10am4pm.
