PITLOCHRY Pitlochry Gallery Associatio­n’s art and crafts exhibition will take place in the town’s Atholl Centre from July 30 until August 19.

It runs Monday to Saturday, 10am until 5pm, and on Sundays from 2-4pm.

There are still some spaces available for participan­ts.

BLAIR ATHOLL The Cairngorms Ceilidh Trail band will perform 11 concerts in the Cairngorms National Park this summer, including two in Perthshire.

Establishe­d for a decade, the trail has been a training ground for some of Scotland’s best up and coming young traditiona­l musicians with many past members having gone on to become profession­al musicians.

The band, with members from Scotland and Ireland, will perform a concert at Blair Castle on August 4 from noon until 2pm, followed by a family ceilidh in Blair Atholl Hall on the same day at 7.30pm.

PERTH Older people in Perth are invited to a free quiz afternoon with strawberry tea on Wednesday.

The event is being organised by the Royal Voluntary Service, together with Prudential UK, and will take place at St Matthew’s Church Hall, Tay Street in Perth from 2pm to 4pm.
