Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 401 store cattle and suckled calves. Bullocks averaged 207ppkg selling to 357p for a Limousin from Greenwells and to £1,280 for a Limousin from Martnaham Mains, Dalrymple. Heifers ave 204ppkg selling to 307p again for a Limousin from Greenwells, and to £1,210 for a Charolais from Broadleys, Stirling.

Black and White Bullocks ave 149ppkg selling to 181p from Alton Muirhouse, Newmilns, and to £790 from the same home.

Caledonian Marts Ltd also sold 2,886 store lambs, breeding and feeding ewes, plus 17 rams.

A good show of lambs and ewes forward for numbers met a similar trade to last week.
