Nominate your stars of the NHS

-

Tayside’s top health professionals will be recognised in a patient-backed award scheme.

Nominations are now open for the NHS Tayside Staff Appreciation and Recognition (Star) Awards.

Now in their second year, the awards celebrate people within NHS Tayside who have gone the extra mile in their jobs.

Members of the public can nominate people in three categories – outstanding individual (clinical), outstanding individual (non-clinical) and outstanding team. A final will be held at the Apex Hotel in Dundee in April.

NHS Tayside chairman Professor John Connell said: “These awards are a great opportunity for members of the public and colleagues to show their appreciation for hard work and dedication.

“We know that often it’s the little things that make the biggest difference to patients, their families and colleagues.

“So if someone has gone that extra mile for you, why not say thank you by nominating them for a Star Award?

“No matter what their job is, any member of staff can be nominated, including medical and nursing staff, therapists, community staff, support staff and those who work in the more ‘hidden’ departments who may not deal with patients on a dayto-day basis.”

Nominations can be made online at starawardstayside. scot.nhs.uk or by calling 01382 632087 or 01382 740063.
