Worth tracking fortunes of Shee’s Lucky

Mulholland’s charge can get off mark on second appearance over hurdles

- The FerreT

SHEE’S LUCKY can get a win on the board in the Rincon Del Puerto Restaurante Garrucha Fillies’ Juvenile Hurdle at Ludlow.

She failed to hit the mark in six allweather outings but showed a natural aptitude for hurdling when a fine second at Leicester in November.

Beaten four-and-a-half lengths by the reopposing Hillcrest Fire on that occasion, Shee’s Lucky possibly paid the price for a couple of modest leaps but should be sharper for the experience.

DARK MAHLER looked a fine prospect when winning at this track in November and he can follow up in the Heath Farm Meats Chase.

The seven-year-old turned in a very capable display of jumping that day, recovering from one small error to win by a comfortable 14 lengths.

Emma Lavelle steps up half a mile in trip here, but Dark Mahler was not stopped at the finish and could now be ready for this type of trip.

GREY WATERS can make the trip from Joseph O’Brien’s Irish yard pay dividends in the Betway Stayers Handicap at Lingfield.

The four-year-old has been mixing and matching between the all-weather

and hurdles, winning over obstacles at Listowel last September before hitting the mark on the level at Kempton in November.

She was last seen when lining up in a Grade Two heat at Leopardstown over Christmas and she was far from disgraced in finishing fourth behind Espoir D’Allen and some other leading Triumph Hurdle contenders.

SPRING WATERFALL takes another step up to 10 furlongs in the 32Red Maiden Fillies’ Stakes following a near-miss at the end of last year.

She was nowhere near on her initial try at Chelmsford but benefited from a front-running ride over an extended mile to be beaten just over a length.

As a half-sister to top Australian performer Miss Finland, a win here could make all the difference to her future paddock value. SELECTIONS LINGFIELD: 1.10 Summer Thunder, 1.45 Power And Peace, 2.15 Grey Waters, 2.50 Pattie, 3.25 Silver Penny, 3.55 Spring Waterfall.
