Blues Boss keen to keep feud personal

-

Antonio Conte insists his feud with Jose Mourinho is personal and that nobody should intervene.

The Chelsea boss, preparing for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal, vowed “I won’t forget” Mourinho’s criticism, after the Manchester United boss hit out at the Italian over match-fixing.

Conte branded Mourinho a “little man” after Chelsea’s goalless FA Cup third round draw at Norwich on Saturday, and has now stood by those comments.

The former Juventus boss insisted he has no regrets over hitting back at Mourinho, but moved to shut down any further discussion of the two managers’ falling out.

“Do I have the look of a person with regret? I don’t think so,” said Conte. “I think we both said things, and we’ll see what happens in future.”

Conte is expected to field a strong side for tonight’s semi-final first leg at Stamford Bridge.

New signing Ross Barkley is unlikely to be involved but Eden Hazard has shaken off a calf complaint.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is yet to decide whether Alexis Sanchez will play tonight amid speculation the forward could join Manchester City this month.

Granit Xhaka and Shkodran Mustafi will undergo fitness tests and Alex Iwobi is unlikely to be considered after the 21-year-old forward, according to The Sun, was filmed dancing in London in the early hours of Saturday before he played in Sunday’s FA Cup defeat by Nottingham Forest.
