Manchester United player joins Hearts on loan
Hearts have signed Manchester United leftback Demetri Mitchell on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old is now set to fly out to Spain to join Craig Levein’s squad on their warm weather training camp.
Mitchell, who plays primarily as a left-back after being converted from a more advanced position, made one appearance for the first team at Old Trafford in the final match of last season against Crystal Palace and has been a regular in England’s youth teams.
Meanwhile Hamilton’s Ioannis Skondras has been handed a fivematch ban following his red card against Ross County.
The Greek defender was shown a straight red after an angry confrontation towards the end of Accies’ 3-2 win over County in December.
Skondras has already served two games of the suspension, and will now miss Accies’ next two games, against Motherwell and Hearts, after admitting to a Scottish Football Association charge.
