BLAIR ATHOLL: Former Pitlochry High headmaster Iain McEwan offered an insight into the wildlife of Costa Rica at Arthritis Awareness in Atholl’s first meeting of 2018.
The next meeting will be on February 5 in the Moulin Hall at 2.30pm when Jim Walker will tell the story of the Brahan Seer.
PITLOCHRY:
The Inner Wheel of Pitlochry will hold a quiz night in the Church of Scotland Tryst on Saturday January 20 at 7pm.
Proceeds will be for overseas children’s charities and tickets are available from any member.
SCONE:
The next meeting of the Scone and District 50+ Group takes place in the Robert Douglas Memorial Hall on Wednesday January 17 at 1.30pm.

The Black Watch Museum at Balhousie Castle in Perth will host its latest talk on Thursday January 18 at 6.30pm.
Visiting lecturer Professor Norman Drummond will offer his reflections and hopes for the educational and genealogical legacy of the First World War commemorative programme.
