Course on money management
Young deaf or hard of hearing people from Perth are being given the opportunity to develop their money management skills.
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s Moving On service is holding a session aimed at people aged between 16 and 25, which aims to help them boost their personal finances.
A welfare rights officer from the charity will also help the young people look into the benefits that might be available to them.
The event will take place in Glasgow on March 14, between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
Communication support will be available and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s Sallie Tomaszewski said: “Taking control of their own finances can be a daunting prospect for many young people and this course will enable the participants to ask questions about money matters in a relaxed... environment.
“We look forward to welcoming young deaf people from Perth to our money management course where they can build their confidence in handling finances and setting their weekly or monthly budgets.”
Moving On is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
