SCONE AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY The society’s next meeting will take place in Scone Old Church hall, Burnside, at 7.30pm on Monday.

The speaker will be Carl MacDougall who will give a presentati­on on the work of Lewis Grassic Gibbon.

Entry is £2 for visitors and free for members.

Tea and biscuits will be served after the talk.

ERROL PENSIONERS The next bingo tea is on Thursday March 15 in the Masonic Lodge.

Eyes down at 7.30pm. There will be the usual lines, raffle and lucky number.

COUPAR ANGUS AND DISTRICT HERITAGE ASSOCIATIO­N

The associatio­n’s next meeting will take place on Friday at 7.30pm in St Anne’s Church hall. FRIENDS OF AYTOUN HALL The Friends will be hosting a coffee morning on Saturday in the Aytoun Hall, Auchterard­er, starting at 10am. Entrance is £2.50. A tombola, raffle and cake stall will be in operation.

In addition, a quiz carrying a prize of £30 will be launched at this event and will run until May 21.

THE GAELIC SOCIETY OF PERTH

The society will hold its March cèilidh at St Matthew’s Church hall, Tay Street, Perth, on Friday March 16 at 7.30pm.

Admission is £5 for members and £6 for non-members.
