Victim claims abuse started at 14

-

A woman has claimed she had sex with her kick-boxing instructor almost 20 years ago when she was just 14.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said martial arts teacher Gary Goodrum had previously groped her in his bedroom as he performed a sex act on himself.

However, she denied defence suggestions that there was

“a bit of a bandwagon about denouncing Goodrum” when allegations about him abusing under-age girls in Fife began to spread.

Goodrum, 33, of Corsiehill, Perth, is charged with seven counts of lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour towards under-age girls between April 1998 and March 2009.

He is also accused of an indecent assault, a sexual assault and one instance of having unlawful sex with three of his eight alleged victims.

All the offences were allegedly committed in vehicles and at addresses in Fife – including at his former kick boxing academy in Dalgety Bay and at a secondary school.

Goodrum denies all the charges.

Giving evidence at the High Court in Livingston yesterday, the 33-year-old, described how Goodrum made sexual advances towards her in the bedroom of his then home in The Spinneys, Dalgety Bay.

The woman claimed they went on to have sexual intercourse in a room at his kick boxing club a few weeks later.

The trial continues.
