Strathmore competition draws top players from across region
Players from across the country converged on Kirriemuir for the 35th annual Strathmore Piping Society open competition, held in Webster’s High School.
The event drew participants from as far afield as Peterculter and Strathaven for classes from chanter to open competition including piobaireachd.
In the junior championship, Broughty Ferry’s Fraser Robson took the title, ahead of Campbell Stewart from Methil and Methven’s Archie McNab.
The senior championship was won by Jordan Ednie from Monifieth, ahead of Luke Kennedy, Strathaven, and Dundee player Kayleigh Paley.
