PITLOCHRY

The next meeting of Pitlochry and Moulin Community Council will be the AGM, tomorrow from 7.30pm, in Pitlochry High School.

MAGGIE’S

The Unison Retired Members Section will meet at the AK Bell Library in Perth from 10.30am today for a talk about the Maggie’s Centre in Dundee. Karen McKinnon will speak about the cancer services available at the centre.

HISTORY Auchterard­er and District Local History Associatio­n will hold a talk by author Dr Neil Stacy on Friday, from 7.30pm.

The event, at the Institute, Aytoun Hall, will discuss his book, the Haldanes of Gleneagles.

FLOWERS

The next meeting of Perth Flower Club is on Monday May 14 in the Grampian Hotel at 7.30pm.

Jean McClure and her presentati­on will be called A Year’s Tapestry of Colour.

There will also be a tombola stall.

MUSIC

Long-time Vale of Atholl Pipe Band member Gillie McNab celebrated her 50th year with the band. She was presented with gifts at a recent ceilidh by Drum Major Kenny Forbes.

The weekly Highland nights in the Recreation Park, Pitlochry, will resume on Monday May 28 from 7.30pm.

PLANTS

Muthill in Bloom will hold its annual coffee morning and plant sale on Saturday from 10am in the village hall.
