Craig Moriarty was the top points scorer for Pitreavie at the opening Scottish Men’s Track and Field League fixture at Grangemouth. Under-20 athlete Moriarty was second in the 400m hurdles (51.42), second in the flat 200m (23.65), fifth in the long jump (5.88m), second in the pole vault (3.70m) as well as anchoring Pitreavie to second place in the 4x400m. Joel McFarlane won the division 2 pole vault for Arbroath, clearing 3.70m also placing fourth in the 100m (11.53) and fourth in the 400m (51.68).

Course records tumbled at a sunny East Lomond for the 2018 Scottish Junior Hill Championships hosted by Fife AC. Calan Chong (U13 Giffnock North), Sam Griffin (U15 Aberdeen), Anna Hedley (U15 Fife AC) and Lauren Dixon (U20 Lasswade) all posted new course bests.
