Disney to open shop in Perth

Perth has been given a huge boost with the announceme­nt that Disney will be bringing a shop to the city.

The massive American company, which has produced a succession of children’s films and entertainm­ent through the years, will set up shop at the St John’s Shopping Centre.

A message posted on social media yesterday by Perth City Centre said: “Magical news – Disney has just announced that they are bringing a new store to St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth.

“They are currently recruiting for cast members to work in their Perth store.

“I think we all know a few little (and big) kids that will delighted with this news.”

No date has yet been supplied for the actual move to Perth but they are already advertisin­g for jobs.

The store at St John’s Shopping Centre will sell toys and other merchandis­e from the animation giant’s string of hit movies.

The Walt Disney company, commonly known as Disney, is a global brand which was founded in 1923. It became known as a leader in animation with its most famous character, Mickey Mouse, before diversifyi­ng into movies.

Mickey Mouse is the signature mascot and emblem for Disney.

Some of its best known production­s are Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderalla, Peter Pan, Toy Story and Frozen.
