PITLOCHRY

As part of the Pitlochry Community Swift Project, Tayside Swifts are running a Dots On Maps session at Pitlochry Library on Saturday, where people can drop in between 11am and 12.30pm to mark where they have seen swifts.

The informatio­n will then be used to create swift priority zones to help in swift conservati­on.

MONCREIFFE HILL

The Bridge of Earn entrance to Woodland Trust Scotland’s Moncreiffe Hill will be closed on Friday for repairs to potholes on the track.

There will be no access during the work.

The wood will still be accessible from the Tay car park on its north side.

PITLOCHRY Pitlochry Festival Theatre will host Animals on Sunday at 2pm.

The show is suitable for adults and children aged over six.

An evening of Scottish Country Dancing will be held at the Robert Douglas Memorial Institute in Scone.

The James Coutts Band will play at the event on Friday June 8, starting from 7.30pm. A raffle will also be held.

CRIEFF

Perth and Kinross Council is working on plans to realign the junction of Broich Road with King Street and Burrell Street.

This involves creating a giveway junction between Brioch Road and Burrell Street, with traffic from King Street giving way to traffic on Broich Road.

The plans also include three new crossing locations aimed at improving pedestrian safety.

Full details are available on the council’s website and feedback can be given until Sunday June 10.
