Dundee Univer­sity has hon­oured an ex-stu­dent with the nam­ing of a new unit. Paul Brown (23), an MA Hon­ours grad­u­ate, re­ceived the hon­our for be­ing, in his own words, “a bit of a nui­sance.” He was present when Pro­fes­sor Brian Smith, dean of arts and so­cial sciences, re­named the univer­sity’s re­source unit for stu­dents with vis­ual im­pair­ments af­ter Paul, who has been blind since birth. The Paul Brown Unit is an ad­vanced study cen­tre with Braille printer and an ar­ray of tech­nol­ogy tools.
