Forfar Mart machinery advice meeting

Farmers will be given advice on how to make the most of machinery and technology at the next Angus Monitor Farm meeting.

The event takes place on Thursday at Forfar Mart from 11am to 3pm.

Mary Munro from Strutt and Parker will share the findings of a recent machinery review carried out at Mill of Inverarity – the Angus Monitor Farm – and compare them to those found across the whole of AHDB’s UK monitor farm network.

In addition, Iain Green from the Moray Monitor Farm will attend the event and discuss the new beef monitor system at his Corskie Farm, near Garmouth, which weighs cattle every time they take a drink.

Farmers will also hear about trials growing different fodder varieties over three farms in Angus, including Mill of Inverarity.
