Band to play first gig since tragedy

-

Scottish band Frightened Rabbit will play their first gig this weekend since the death of singer Scott Hutchison.

The frontman’s body was found on the banks of the Firth of Forth after he took his own life aged 36 in May.

His family said there had been concerns about his mental health, and they were “devastated” by his death.

Frightened Rabbit will be joined by special guests in a tribute to Scott at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Bandstand tonight.

The Sleep In The Park concert in Kelvingrove Park will also raise money for a charity Mr Hutchison’s family are setting up in his memory.

The singer’s brother Grant, who plays drums in the band, said: “It seemed like the right thing to do, and like a natural thing to do, to make a positive thing out of something that personally was a very tragic event and to be able to help two charities and two causes.”
