Time to turn off?

“David Attenborough’s nature programmes are magnificent, but are periodically spoilt for me by his lectures on man-made climate change,” says a Perthshire reader.

“I switch off when he starts on that. “The other morning, I had just booked my recordings for the day and was about to switch off, when David’s face appeared on the screen. The sound was off, but the subtitles were on and they read: ‘climate change.’

“He never gives up. We should look after our environment and there is climate change, I agree, but is it manmade? Has David never heard of the enormous climate changes which took place long before mere human beings arrived on this Earth, nor of the many mini-ice ages we have had since then? Man-made? I don’t think so.”
