Legion holds remembrance ceremony for Glencarse soldier
A poignant act of remembrance was held by the City of Dundee Branch of The Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) yesterday.
The annual act was held in the memory of Australian “Jock”, Robbie Buchan.
The youngster from Glencarse joined the 6th Bn Royal Australian Rifles but was killed in Vietnam on December 11 1969.
His ashes were returned home to his mother and he was interred with her in Birkhill Cemetery in 1998.
