Demand for new school on Perth and Kinross border
Demands have been made to build a new primary school at a burgeoning housing development on the Perth and Kinross/ Dundee border.
Hundreds of new homes are being built at the Western Gateway site on edge of Dundee, just north of the A90.
Developers building the properties have paid a roof tax for a new school but work has not begun.
Labour Lochee councillor Michael Marra said: “The overwhelming cause of concern for residents has been the lack of education provision.”
A spokeswoman for Dundee City Council said: “We are continuing to discuss this matter.”
