Perthshire’s capital gains

It was a close encounter in the capital when Perthshire beat Murrayfield Wanderers 27-24 in their Tennents National 3 clash in September and although the same margin was the difference at North Inch, this time it favoured Wanderers.

Pete Saunders, Duncan Clow and Jonny Armitt had the Shire tries, Armitt converted one while Callum Marshall, Ian Birch and Brian Letson had the visitors’ tries.

John Lee converted one but the match winner was Lee’s penalty.

Shire travel to the borders on Saturday to face St Boswells.
