LUNCARTY Redgorton and Stanley Church has organised an Advent Messy Church in Luncarty Church Centre on Sunday from 3pm to 5pm.

Activities include songs, fun science, astronomy, kaleidosco­pes, frankincen­se, all-age Nativity photo booth and crafts. The event will finish with a family tea. The winners of the Messy Sheep Trail will be announced and some of the cuddly sheep will be for sale.

HEALTH

The Stride for Life walking group at Bankfoot will hold its last walk for the year on Thursday December 20 from 10.30am.

After the walk, which sets off from Bankfoot Church Centre, there will be a get-together with snacks. The next walk will be held in January. MUSIC

A concert of Christmas music with the Rosenethe Singers will be held at the Gleneagles Hotel on Monday, from 7.30pm. The event will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

CHARITY

Comrie Cancer Club made donations totalling £4,000 during November. The total was shared between Ninewells Cancer Campaign Dundee and Pancreatic Cancer Scotland Glasgow.

BAG PACK

Comrie Pipe Band raised more than £500 at a recent bag pack in Crieff’s Co-op superstore.

The money will go towards a group trip to France in October next year.
