Residents urged to think before throwing out unwanted gifts

-

Perth and Kinross Council is asking residents to hand in any unwanted Christmas presents to local charity shops.

The tip is included in the authority’s recycling advice for the festive season, along with details of what household items can be recycled and which bin to put them in.

A council spokesman said: “With Christmas just around the corner, there are a few ways to reduce the contents of the green general waste bin.

“Unwanted Christmas presents and usable items that are still in good condition can be passed on to local charity shops and reuse projects.”
