The next meet­ing of the Scone and District 50+ group takes place on Wed­nes­day.

Doors open at 1.30pm in the RDM In­sti­tute, ahead of the meet­ing start­ing at 2pm.

This month’s en­ter­tain­ment is a stand­ing and seated dance ses­sion, led by Chris Wil­son.

New mem­bers wel­come.


Perth Sym­phony Orches­tra is host­ing a fundrais­ing cof­fee morn­ing at the week­end.

The event will be held at the RDM In­sti­tute in Scone, from 10am un­til noon.

There will be tea, cof­fee, cakes, a raf­fle and mu­sic.


Perth’s NHS re­tire­ment fel­low­ship will next meet on Mon­day Jan­uary 21 at 2pm.

The speaker at the Civil Ser­vice Club, St Leonard’s Bank, will be an em­ployee of Wilt­shire Farm Foods.

Perth and Kin­ross Coun­cil’s new lo­cal par­tic­i­pa­tion worker is hold­ing drop-in ses­sions in Cri­eff and Kin­ross.

Coun­cil hous­ing ten­ants can visit Kevin Heller at Loch Leven Com­mu­nity Li­brary in Kin­ross from 11am un­til 12.30pm on Tues­days or the Cri­eff coun­cil area of­fice on the same day, be­tween 1.30pm and 3pm.

AUCHTER­ARDER Un­wanted books can be do­nated to a new home as part of Auchter­arder Gym­nas­tics Club’s lat­est fundraiser.

The group is ask­ing for do­na­tions to be sold at their fundrais­ing cof­fee morn­ing and book sale on Fe­bru­ary 9.

Do­na­tions of books can be handed in to the gym at the Com­mu­nity School of Auchter­arder from now un­til the fundraiser.
