Experts with digital skills in demand

-

Workers with digital and data analysis skills will be among those most in demand this year, according to a new report.

Research by recruiters Robert Half suggested firms were already finding it a “challenge” to hire suitably skilled staff for digitalised roles.

Jobs such as digital marketing analyst command salaries of up to £60,000 a year, said Robert Half.

Managing director Matt Weston said: “Technology and digitalisation is propelling the evolution of the workplace at a rapid pace.

“As companies adjust to the challenges and opportunities these technologies can have on their business, the need for the right skills intensifies the war for talent.

“As traditional roles become increasingly digitally-focused, reflecting the changing business landscape, businesses face a talent dilemma – they must attract professionals with the skills they need while also identifying the opportunity to upskill their existing employees.

“While attractive salary and benefits packages continue to attract and retain top talent, training and development is vital for employers.”
