Baird will help boost goals tally – McGlynn

John McGlynn has backed new signing John Baird to supply Raith Rovers with the ammunition for their League One title assault.

The experienced striker is back in Scotland until the new year as he completes his planned move to Australia and has penned a short-term deal to rejoin Rovers on amateur terms.

McGlynn said: “John has done a lot for the club in his previous spells and was popular with the fans.

“We signed him from Airdrie way, way back and he formed a great partnership with big Brian Graham and Gregory Tade.

“He knows this league and he knows how to get goals, he knows how to create goals.”
