Two of last season’s promoted sides meet at Brownlands Park as Luncarty host Dundee North End.

Luncarty have lost their last two games in the Super League North and manager Jonny Kelly knows that his side will need to improve against a North End side on a high after beating Broughty Athletic last time out.

Kelly is able to welcome back Robbie Holden who hasn’t played since the opening day win over Lochee United but Richie Montgomery is doubtful.

North End will travel in confident mood after last week’s win over Broughty Athletic and manager Ross Lunan has strengthened his squad with the addition of Jamie Montgomery from Forfar West End, that is the only change to last week’s group.

It will be an interesting encounter at Farquharson Park as Scone Thistle welcome Forfar West End.

West End boss Derek Lawson will have to remember he is in the away dugout after leaving Thistle last week for the Angus club. Scone are still looking for a new manager and Sean Whitworth is in charge once again following the win over Luncarty last week.

Scone are able to recall Willie Laing and Andy Webster to last week’s squad while Lawson will be without suspended Robbie George and Jamie Montgomery who has departed for Dundee North End, for his first game as West boss.

Kennoway Star Hearts were 2-0 winners over West Calder United last weekend in the Fife & Lothian’s Cup but according to reports were far from impressive and they will need to be much improved as they host Bathgate Thistle at Treaton Park.

Hearts boss Matty Sadler expects to have the same squad available for the game against a Bathgate side that beat Thornton Hibs 6-2 in their last game two weeks ago.

Arguably the match of the day in the East Region Super League South is at Memorial Park where second-place Thornton Hibs face leaders Fauldhouse United.

The visitors are unbeaten and are six points clear at the top of the table. Hibs have had a mixed bag of results with just one win coming at home so manager Craig Gilbert is in no doubt that his troops will need to improve to take anything from the game

Gilbert is without Chris Ireland through suspension, Ian Shanks is inured and Adam Drummond is on holiday otherwise it is the same squad that thrashed Armadale Thistle at Volunteer Park last weekend.

Lochore Welfare travel to face Whitburn at Central Park still looking for their first win in the Super League South.

However, James Adam’s side will have received a boost from last week’s win over Linlithgow Rose in the Fife & Lothian’s Cup and the Fife side are expected to have the same squad available.
