United Auctions, Stirling, sold 10,504 store lambs, feeding and breeding sheep, which included the inaugural associatio­n sale of Cheviot/Mule gimmers and ewe lambs.

Gimmers sold to £195 from a pen of 25 from Monzie Farms and averaged £180.49 for 308 sold.

Ewe lambs sold to £128 for a pen of 10 from G G F Milne, Kinaldy, and ave £101.26 for the 563 sold.

Leading prices: Gimmers – Monzie (Chev/Mule) £198 and £185, Backmuir (Chev/Mule) £190 and £178, Lathocker (Chev/Mule) £190 and £180, North Balloch (Chev/ Mule) £185.

Heifers averaged 204ppkg selling to 219ppkg for Limousins from Blackpark, Leswalt, and to £1,120 for Limousins (twice) from Carstraan, Lochearnhe­ad, and Pendreich, Bridge of Allan.
