RSABI bolsters board with two new trustees

Rural charity RSABI has appointed two new trustees to its board.

Stephen Young, head of policy at Scottish Land & Estates, and Rebecca Dawes, a co-founder of the Rural Youth Project, both have background­s in farming.

They join current board members which include chairman David Leggat, vice-chairman Jimmy McLean, Christine Bowie, Robin Dandie, Patricia Glennie, Hamish Lean, Mairi Mackenzie, Jane

Mitchell Watson.

David Leggat said: “I’m delighted to welcome Rebecca and Stephen to our board.

“They both bring fantastic experience, insight and connection­s that will be incredibly valuable to the charity, as well as great enthusiasm for the work of RSABI.”

The new appointmen­ts follow a recruitmen­t drive that aimed to bring fresh perspectiv­e to the charity’s board. and
