Leeds stun Reds with late goal

-

Diego Llorente is mobbed by team-mates after his late header earned a deserved point for Leeds in a 1-1 home Premier League draw against Liverpool last night.

The Spain defender powered home Jack Harrison’s corner with three minutes remaining to cancel out Sadio Mane’s first-half opener for Liverpool.

Llorente, an £18 million summer signing from Real Sociedad, registered his first goal for Leeds to deny Jurgen Klopp’s side the win that would have lifted them back into the top four.

Where Klopp’s side will finish this season and what it will mean is anyone’s guess after the European Super League dropped its bombshell on Sunday.

But, as it stands, Liverpool’s Champions League hopes were dealt another blow.
