Well done to all involved

The Cricket Paper - - COMMENT & VIEWS -

It was only a few months ago that the tour of Bangladesh was in doubt due to security fears. I would therefore like to pass on my gratitude to all concerned who have ensured the series has gone ahead.

Following a keenly fought one day series, congratulations are due to both teams for a terrific first Test match.

An exciting pitch, spinners opening the bowling, reverse swing, four scores over 200 and the theatre of 26 DRS moments highlighted the fascinating number of variables that only test cricket commands.

Such a shame that the crowd was so small and it is only a two match series. The corporate crowd might not like it, but the four and a bit days in Chittagong highlighted that Test match cricket still rules.
