Fraser is thrilled that Voges will Lord’s it again
MIDDLESEX will welcome back Adam Voges for a fourth spell at the club with the Australian batsman having signed for the county as an overseas player.
Voges, 37, has featured for Middlesex in three of the past four seasons and captained the side in the County Championship winning campaign in 2016, although he missed the final four matches because of a hamstring problem.
Voges will be available for 13 Championship matches and all eight One-Day Cup group games and Middlesex managing director Angus Fraser is looking forward to having the batsman back at Lord’s.
He said:“Inviting Adam back was a simple decision. On each of the occasions he has been with Middlesex, he has been outstanding in every way and he is just the sort of character I want playing for our club.
“In the past two seasons, selection for Australia has reduced the amount of time he has spent with us but this season we expect to see far more of him.”
Voges has represented Australia in all forms of the game, playing 20 Tests and making five centuries.
