Harrison is feeling confident
FARSLEY are ready to challenge for the Bradford League crown in 2017 – according to Mark Harrison.
Despite having the most games rained off in 2016, Farsley still finished third in the standings and have started this season well.
They smashed Batley by seven wickets in the opening clash of the season, thanks largely to five-fors for Chris Henry and James Wainman.
And Harrison – a veteran batsman and former captain of the club – likes what he sees from the club.
“We finished third last year but, having looked at everything, we had the most games rained off and we don’t feel as if we played that well,” he said.
“It is quite a nice feeling knowing that we can play a lot better if we put both the batting and bowling together.
“Hopefully, then we’ll get a few more wins to be really up there.
“We just hope we can get up and running and get a couple of wins on the board early to serve as a confidence booster for the rest of the season.”
