Why cull overseas club men?

I UNDERSTAND the ECB clamped down on overseas amateurs at club level this year, to help promote more UK-born players.

All well and good, but it’s a shame the counties are doing the opposite.

Sadly it actually had a detrimental effect. The standard was the worst I’ve witnessed for years. Some of the UK-born players who were selected in place of the overseas amateurs just didn’t cut the mustard. MARK GRAHAM
