Ly­caMo­bile takes stake in the Peo­ple’s Op­er­a­tor

The Peo­ple’s Op­er­a­tor, the eth­i­cal mo­bile phone com­pany backed by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, has sealed a deal to raise cash from the owner of vir­tual mo­bile op­er­a­tor Ly­caMo­bile. Shares in the Peo­ple’s Op­er­a­tor have been sus­pended on Aim since July. The deal will see WWW Hold­ing, Ly­caMo­bile’s owner, take a 30pc stake and pro­vide £1.3m funds.
