NOT THERE BUT THEREABOUTS
The north Norfolk coast is deservedly popular and nowhere has attracted more top-end house-hunters than Burnham Market, aka Chelsea-on-Sea. The village is 37 miles north west of Norwich and three miles from beautiful Holkham Bay. A village green, ringed by Georgian houses, plus pukka shops and restaurants, create a stylish ambience, and prices to match. There are tempting options on the London side of Norwich, too. Diss (pictured right), 25 miles south-west of the city, is an old market town on the edge of a lake, with period properties on winding streets. There is a fast train to London, putting Diss within commuting range, just.
