The Daily Telegraph - Review - - CONTENTS -

When he began taking pictures underwater 30 years ago, Philip Hamilton only ever intended to hang the best on his wall. But over time, Hamilton, who used to work in finance, realised that his photographs had a more important role to play. Now an ocean conservationist as well as a full-time marine photogapher, he has spent the past five years documenting the underwater world we are on the brink of losing. His images are gathered in a new book, Call of the Blue, alongside stories of the individuals working to save it. Details: paulholber
