Jack O’Connell (This is England) gets the wittiest lines in this gritty urban thriller, while Sheridan Smith gives a charming and natural performance which almost compensates for the fairly illogical plot.

The most venerable of golf ’s four major events continues, entering its third day then concluding on Sunday.
