Terence Young is better known for the first three Bond films, but shortly beforehand he directed this
gritty small-town drama. When a new vicar (Anthony Quayle) moves to the town, he has to contend with the local gangs of delinquent kids – the leader of whom accuses him maliciously of making a homosexual pass. Sarah Churchill co-stars, and look out for Cliff Richard in his debut film role too.
