Jeff Nichols’s sci-fi chase movie mixes superpowers, religion and an offbeat cast to dazzling, Spielbergian effect. Two shifty-looking guys, played by Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton, are on the run with the former’s son Alton (Jaeden Martell) in their custody. His blue goggles aren’t the only thing to mark him out as Not Like Us. A swish and highly watchable scrap ensues between government agencies and our heroes.
