PUNK NIGHT
Sky Arts, from 8.00pm
Over eight hours of punk programming begins with The History of the Clash, an hour-long profile of Messrs Strummer, Jones, Simonon and Headon, before Don Letts wrangles Henry Rollins, Chrissie Hynde and others for his neardefinitive document of the era, Punk Attitude, at 9.00pm. At 11.00pm there’s another chance to see the first two instalments of the Iggy Pop-narrated Punk (episode three airs on Friday night) before reunion gigs from Sex Pistols (at 1.30am) and New York Dolls (at 3.00am) send the evening out in a blaze of middle-aged excess.
