The superb adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel continues with Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) heading to Sweden on a student exchange programme. It’s the second episode that’s the stand-out, however, as Connell struggles with depression leading to a phenomenal performance from actor Paul Mescal, particularly in the counselling scene. SH
