The West End reopens with this 1988 curio by A R Gurney about two lifelong friends whose shifting relationship is registered via their correspondence. Martin Shaw and Jenny Seagrove wring the right kind of light humour and subtle pathos from a sedentary American two-hander that defeated Mr and Mrs Charlton Heston at this venue in 1999.
