THE QUILLER MEMORANDUM
Talking Pictures TV, 10pm
1966
Fans of James Bond will be a little disappointed by this Harold Pinter-scripted spy drama, though it has a decent number of gadgets.
It’s also, as expected with Pinter, very talkative. Quiller (George Segal) and his master Alec Guinness are as interested in discussing human nature as they are in their mission, infiltrating a neo-Nazi gang to investigate the murder of two British agents. Max von Sydow is a standout co-star.
